  • You will study a range of practitioners including Katie Mitchell, Emma Rice, Bertolt Brecht and Antonin Artaud. You will explore their theories and practices before applying them to your own work.
  • You will study a range of texts including set texts and texts of your own choice. Current set texts include Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen, Love and Information by Carly Churchill and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Simon Stephens.
  • You will explore every aspect of theatre-making including set design, costume design, lighting design and directing. You will practically apply that subject knowledge in a written exam.
  • You will devise your own piece of theatre on a theme of your own choosing.
  • You will perform in scripted performances using texts that you have chosen.
  • You will attend a range of live theatre performances and workshops delivered by theatre including The Donmar Warehouse, The Royal Court and The Old Vic.
