Our Courses

Our A Level Offer

Students with the required grades at GCSE have the opportunity to follow our A Level pathway. This provides students a choice of three (sometimes four) A Levels.

A Levels are an excellent springboard to further study and certain combinations of A Levels will be recommended for progress onto certain courses. Your choice of A Levels will depend on the grades you secure at GCSE, what you want to do after leaving sixth form, and what you enjoy and are interested in.

The link provides details of the A Levels we offer at Eltham Hill Sixth Form.

Our Vocational Offer

We currently offer students a choice of two BTECs - Health and Social Care and Applied Science. The majority of students on the BTEC pathway will study a Diploma (double) in one of these and a Foundation Diploma (single) in the other. This provides them with the equivalent of three A Levels.

Edexcel describe BTECs as ‘high-quality, career-focused qualifications grounded in the real world of work. This means BTEC learners develop and apply the knowledge, skills and behaviours that employers and universities are looking for’. The combination of Science and Health and Social Care is particularly suited to students considering a career in healthcare or health science, but the skills these courses develop equip students for a wide range of subjects.

The EPQ

In addition to A levels, we offer students the opportunity to undertake an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). This is a highly-respected and valuable qualification that extends students’ learning and develops a range of skills. For students going onto university, it also provides additional UCAS points, giving them increased choice when they apply.
