We are delighted that we have maintained the high results of the last five years at GCSE level and our students have achieved significantly above national averages in all key measures.

Our students results at grades 9-7 and grades 9-4 are again outstanding for a completely comprehensive and inclusive school. Nationally 71% of entries for Year 11 pupils received a grade 4, in Eltham Hill this figure is 83%. Nationally the % of grades at 9-7 is 23%, at Eltham Hill 30% of our grades are 9-7.

A particularly impressive set of results were from Anya Maunder who achieved 9 grade 9’s and 2 grade 7’s plus an A grade in a Level 3 Additional Maths qualification. Another notable success was Carla Atunde who achieved an incredible 8 grade 9’s and 3 grade 8’s. Milly Brown achieved a brilliant 8 grade 9’s, 1 grade 8 and 2 grade 7’s. Janant Omidiya got 7 Grade 9’s, 2 grade 8’s and a grade 6. Mayar Azabi, Emily Burgess, Sophia Green and Edith Kershaw all achieved 6 grade 9’s alongside their other top grades!

Overall, our English results continue to be significantly higher than national averages with 83% of our students achieving a grade 9-4 for English Language and 86% for English Literature compared with 77% for girls nationally.

Maths results are also very strong with 9-4 results at 79% and 9-7 at 26%, nationally this is 71% at 9-4 for girls and 20% at 9-7.

We even have fifteen subjects in our comprehensive school where over 30% of all the students taking those subjects achieved grades 7-9! They are Chemistry 67%, Physics 64%, Biology 60%, Sociology 56%, Media 53%, Philosophy and Ethics 50%, Further Maths 50%, Textiles 50%, Music 44%, French 39%, History 37%, Design and Technology 37%, English Literature 32%, Psychology 31% and Drama 31%.

We are delighted that all of our students, including those who have faced additional challenges and have needed additional support, achieved a good range of qualifications and are able to go on to the next stage of their education whether here or elsewhere. We are really proud of each and every one of them.
