An evening of glitz and glamour arrived at Eltham Hill on Thursday 13th October with our Celebration of Achievement Evening. This annual event allows us all to celebrate the excellence, happiness and success of our school community and to give praise to those students and colleagues who go above and beyond to achieve their own personal bests.

The evening was punctuated with some fine musical performances, including Cora Tarling performing ‘On My Own’ from Les Miserables, accompanied by Julie Hill.

The evening closed with Evie Illing giving a stirring performance of ‘Heart of Stone’ from Six, accompanied by our Head of Music, Mr Reeve. A whole host of awards and prizes were given to students for their academic and personal successes, whilst the extensive contributions of three members of staff, Ms Osborne, Ms Zionts and Mr Taibi were also celebrated.

Following some wonderful catering at the beginning of the event, guests and award winners were also treated to a guest speaker Irena Sabic. Ms Sabic is a Public Law Barrister from Garden Court Chambers, committed to fighting injustice, defending human rights and upholding the rule of law. Ms Sabic motivated all who were present with her experiences of working as a barrister, and how she reached her career goal by determination and sheer grit. She was an inspiration, just as many of the evening’s award winners will be in the future.

We wish to extend our thanks to the parents, teachers, guest speakers, facilities team, administration teams and – most importantly – our wonderful students for making the evening such a success. The photographs of the evening can be downloaded from our website here:

We look forward to celebrating more fantastic achievements with many other students and colleagues in autumn 2023.
